Myrkraverk Productions is an independent film production company based in Iceland, dedicated to creating bold, cinematic stories with a focus on genre filmmaking. From psychological thrillers and horror to dark drama and science fiction, we believe genre is one of the most powerful ways to explore the human experience.

Formed in 2017 by director and producer Erlingur Thoroddsen, Myrkraverk has an international outlook and seeks to collaborate with both emerging voices and established filmmakers, fostering original ideas and ambitious storytelling. Our mission is to produce compelling, audience-driven films that entertain, resonate, and leave a lasting impression. We believe the best genre films don’t just frighten and thrill, but also reveal something true about the world and ourselves.
